INTERVIEWS IN DAKAR, JUNE 2014
In 2014, a second research team was formed, comprising Prof. Dr. Bärbel Küster and students from the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Stuttgart. Interviews were held in Dakar with Ibrahima Thiam, Djibril Sy, Élise Fitte Duval, Omar Victor Diop, Malika Diagana and Mamadou Gomis. This visit to Dakar also enabled the team to establish contact with the Goethe-Institut and the Village des Arts, and to meet with Michael Jeismann, Doudou Diop and Idrissa Diallo. In Saint-Louis, we met with Thierry Dessolas from the Institut Français and presented our exhibition proposal to him. This visit also allowed us to conduct a final interview with avec Adama Sylla.
